Text watermarks get a choice of six fonts (Helvetica, Times or Courier, each in regular or bold), colour, size, opacity and rotation; image watermarks take a PNG, JPG, WebP, GIF, BMP or TIFF logo and let you control its width. Place either one using a 9-position grid, or switch on tile mode to repeat it in a pattern across the whole page — and apply it to every page or just a specific range. Non-Latin text works too: Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Cyrillic, Greek and Arabic are drawn with an embedded Unicode font, so 机密 stamps as cleanly as CONFIDENTIAL.
A watermark alone doesn't lock a document down — pair it with Dudle's Protect tool afterward if you also need password encryption. No sign-up is required, and both the upload and the watermarked PDF are deleted automatically after an hour. Each PDF you stamp can be up to 50 MB.

Can I use my own logo as an image watermark?
Yes — switch the watermark type to Image, upload a PNG, JPG, WebP, GIF, BMP or TIFF, and control its width as a percentage of the page alongside the same opacity, rotation and position controls text watermarks get.
Can I add a watermark in Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Arabic or Cyrillic?
Yes. Non-Latin text is drawn with an embedded Unicode font, so scripts the built-in PDF fonts can't represent still stamp correctly — the one trade-off is that the six-font choice applies to Latin text only. Emoji can't be drawn in a PDF and will be rejected rather than turned into empty boxes.
How do I repeat a watermark pattern across the whole page instead of once?
Switch on tile mode in the position control — instead of placing the watermark at a single spot, it repeats in a staggered pattern across the entire page, spaced to suit whatever rotation you have chosen. A Tile spacing control appears alongside it with Dense, Normal and Sparse settings.
How do I remove a watermark from a PDF?
This tool only adds watermarks, it doesn't remove them — and removing a watermark someone else added to a document you don't own can violate copyright or the terms you agreed to, so make sure you have the right to before doing it elsewhere.
